PERRY, Ga. -- The Perry Police Department has arrested three suspects in a murder investigation, and a fourth suspect is still on the run.
Police say the incident happened Thursday, July 2 at the Great Inn on St. Patrick's Drive in Perry, Ga. Police reportedly responded to the location in reference to a call about shots fired. When on the scene, police found 20-year-old D'undrea Jolly of Fort Valley, Ga. with multiple gunshot wounds. Jolly was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives, along with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Forensics Unit responded to investigate the incident. During the investigation, authorities found that four suspects appeared to have been in the motel room where Jolly was found. Further investigation led detectives to a neighboring county. From there, they were led to Alabama and Indiana.
On Sunday, July 5, with the help of Calhoun County deputies, authorities arrested two suspects in connection to the murder of Jolly. The suspects were identified as 22-year-old Samuel Clayton Miller of Anniston, Al. and 22-year-old Tycovian Kemon Whitlow of Alexandria, Al. Both are being held at the Calhoun County Jail waiting for extradition back to Georgia, on Felony Murder charges.
Later on July 5, detectives reportedly traveled to Indiana to find two additional suspects.
On July 6, a third suspect, 25-year-old Tara Redding turned herself in to the Perry Police Department after returning from Indiana. Redding is currently being held at the Houston County jail on a charge of Felony Murder.
Perry detectives along with local Indiana law enforcement, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are working to locate the fourth and final suspect in the case. Authorities have identified the fourth suspect as 23-year-old Quintavious Deon Dobbins.
