PERRY, Ga. -- There was a murder in Perry Thursday night - as far as attendees of a murder mystery dinner theatre were concerned.

The murder mystery entertainment group Murder with Friends kicked off the ongoing event at the Perry Players Community Theatre.

Organizers said shows will be held November 2, 3, 9 and 10 at 6:30 p.m., as well as November 4 and 11 at 1 p.m. Al shows will be performed at and benefit the Perry Players Community Theatre.

The show's backdrop is "Murder at the Deadwood Saloon...Again?" It features a cast of local actors and was directed, produced and written by Nicole Bissette and Tyler Bryant.

“We decided to bring back our very first murder mystery for our move to Perry Players,” said Bryant. “It’s the same setting, same characters, but a completely different plot, and of course, a new murder.”

Bryant said he's produced and directed seven other murder mysteries but that "Murder at the Deadwood Saloon" has been the most popular with theatre patrons.

Organizers said check-in and social time starts at 6:30 for performances on Friday and Saturday and 1 p.m. for Sunday. Bodega Brew will provide an open bar and guests who arrive early may get extra hints and clues.
