16-year-old killed, 3 others wounded in overnight Macon shooting
MACON, Ga.-- An overnight shooting in south Macon Sunday leaves a 16-year-old dead and three others recovering.
Bibb deputies say it happened just after 12:30 a.m. Sunday, at a warehouse and / or storage building located in the 300 block of Edgewood Ln. , just off of Houston Ave.
According to Sgt. Clay Williams, there was some sort of gathering or cookout at the building when an unknown car pulled up and began firing shots.
Several people were hit as gunfire rang out, including Calvin Bernard Harvey, 16, of Macon who was found by deputies lying on the front porch with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene from his injuries.
Other victims include Ronnie Jackson Jr., 23, and Morgan Diggs, 25, both of Macon who were grazed by bullets and treated at the scene.
A 13-year-old girl who was at the gathering was also injured. At last check, she remains in stable condition at the Medical Center at Navicent Health and is expected to recover.
Investigators have not made any arrests in the shooting, which now marks the county's 19th homicide of the year.
