SUNDAY MORNING UPDATE: Severe storms expected Monday
MACON, Ga. - A strong weather system is expected to produce severe storms Monday.
Based on data analyzed Sunday morning, all of Georgia is at risk for severe storms Monday.
All modes of severe weather are possible, including damaging winds, tornadoes, large hail, torrential rain and frequent lightning.
Supercell storms are expected to develop. As a result, impactful severe weather is expected, but unlike a line of storms, not everyone will see severe weather. As a result, forecasting specific locations more at risk is extremely difficult. Everyone should have a severe weather plan in place Monday and should stay weather aware.
