ATLANTA, Ga. --The man accused of killing one Subway worker and critically injuring another in Atlanta Sunday has been denied bond.
36-year-old Melvin Williams is charged with murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as well as a felony gun charge.
Williams allegedly became angry over too much mayonnaise being put on his sandwich and pulled a gun on the two Subway workers.
26-year-old Brittany Macon died from gunshot wounds; her co-worker has not been identified, but is listed in critical condition.
The 24-year-old co-worker's five-year-old son was in the store at the time of the shooting.
Atlanta has now recorded 74 homicides in the first half of the year, a 19-percent increase since the same period last year.
