Suspect vehicle reportedly drives right past shooting victim, deputy in south Macon

MACON, Ga. -- Bibb County deputies are investigating after a man was shot during an incident that happened Thursday near Houston Ave. and Bennell St.

A sheriff's report says the responding deputy met with the victim, who had a cloth wrapped around his arm where he'd been shot.

The deputy reportedly walked around with the man to talk about the shooting while they waited for an ambulance to arrive. While they were talking, the victim pointed out the alleged suspect vehicle which reportedly drove right by them. It was described as a "newer gray or silver" Honda Accord with tinted windows.

The deputy called for a lookout on the car but no contact was made, according to the report.

The victim reported that he was at the trailer park located in the 720 block of Bennell St. when two men in a Honda Accord called out to him. As the victim walked up to them, one of the men fired multiple shots at him and struck his left arm once, the report says.

The victim reportedly didn't know the men. The shooter was described as standing around 6' tall and weighing around 190 pounds with a "small afro" and beard. The driver is reported to be around 5'11", 190 pounds and have no facial hair.
