Dump-truck collides with train at railroad crossing on Dixie Highway in Monroe County

UPDATE 4:30 p.m.

MONROE COUNTY, Ga. -- Monroe County deputies confirm a gravel dump truck collided with a train at the railroad crossing on Dixie Highway.

Deputies report the driver of the truck was transported to Navicent Health with non-life-threatening injuries.

The conductor of the train did not report any injuries.

This is still under investigation.

MONROE COUNTY, Ga. -- A dump truck has wrecked at a railroad crossing on Dixie Highway.

The railroad crossing is near Wren Circle.

WGXA crews report the truck has damage to the front of the vehicle and there are two train cars that are now sitting detached.
