TRAFFIC ALERT: Road work in Milledgeville could slow traffic through mid-October
MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. -- Drivers in Milledgeville should be advised that crews will be working on State Route (SR) 22 onto Roberson Mill Rd. and the turn lane from the Bypass/US 441 to SR 22.
A Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) release said that weather permitting, crews will be starting work on Wednesday.
In addition to the turn lane from US 441 to SR 22, crews are scheduled to widen the left turn lanes from SR 22 onto Roberson Mill Rd.
GDOT said that drivers should expect work to last into the second week of October.
According to the release, traffic won't be interuppted until after 9 a.m. daily, and workers will try to minimize interfering with afternoon traffic. GDOT said that most of the work will be taking place on the shoulder.
