
FORT VALLEY, Ga. (WGXA) — The Fort Valley Police Department (FVPD) arrested two men they said are responsible for a July shooting that left a 9-year-old injured.

According to FVPD, the shooting happened at the Lakeview Apartments in Fort Valley on July 12. As a result of the shooting, a 9-year-old was struck by gunfire.
FVPD said 19-year-old Jackson Gore of Fort Valley was located in Bartow County and arrested by the US Marshal Service and 25-year-old Deshard Postell of Macon was already in custody for an unrelated case.
Gore and Postell were charged with aggravated assault and additional charges are being sought by FVPD's Criminal Investigation Division.
