Two men arrested on drug charges in Fort Valley

FORT VALLEY, Ga. -- Two Fort Valley men face multiple charges after a search warrant was executed on an apartment Tuesday morning.

According to a release from Peach County Sheriff Terry Deese, 34-year-old Quavis Respress was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Darrand Williams, 39, faces charges of possession of methamphetamine and aggravated assault on a peace officer.

The Peach County Narcotics and Vice Unit executed the search warrant an an apartment at 710 Green St. and arrested the men.

Williams reportedly struck one of the officers with his vehicle as he attempted to flee the scene.

The Peach County Sheriffs’ Emergency Response Team assisted the narcotics unit.
