U.S. Attorney General Sessions coming to Macon; Women's group planning protest
MACON, Ga. -- U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions is slated for a visit to Macon on Thursday at the United States Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Georgia.
In a release from the Macon U.S. Attorney' Office, Attorney General Sessions will deliver remarks on efforts to combat violent crime in America.
Meanwhile, according to Georgia Women's Facebook, the group is planning a protested called "Deport Sessions Rally" on Thursday from 8:30-11 a.m.
Georgia Women's website says it's a "grassroots social welfare organization whose purpose is to raise a common voice about issues important to women and to our country."
The Facebook event says Sessions' "anti-family policies are not welcome here. As a community, we need to show up in opposition to his xenophobic and divisive rhetoric."
