UPDATE: Woman who crashed 2 parked cars in Macon charged with DUI

MACON, Ga. -- WGXA learned Monday that a 40-year-old woman has been arrested and charged for a car accident in Macon on May 10.

A Bibb Co. sheriff's report says 40-year-old Tammi Leigh Shepler is charged with DUI.

On May 10, a car crashed into two parked cars at Winston Drive and Canterbury Road that morning. Officers at the scene said one of the vehicles was pushed up against the house.

Shepler reportedly told a deputy that she had taken Xanax the previous night and Percocet that morning.

According to the report, the deputy tested Shepler's breath for alcohol, but she tested negative. At that point, the deputy reportedly arrested Shepler for DUI and took her to get tested for drugs.

After being taken to get tested for drugs, Shepler was cleared at a local hospital before being booked at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

The report says she was also issued citations for driving too fast and suspended registration.

There were no serious injuries.

MACON, Ga. -- A car crashed into two parked cars at a Macon home Thursday morning.

It happened at Winston Drive and Canterbury Road just after 10 a.m

Officers at the scene said a vehicle hit two cars parked in the driveway, pushing one of the vehicles up against the house.

The homeowner said that an outside wall and parts of an inside wall were damaged.
