MACON, Ga. -- Bibb County investigators are looking for a man who allegedly stole a purse that had $10,000 cash inside.
A report filed with the sheriff's office said a man and woman were walking in downtown Macon on January 8 around 4 p.m. near the Wells Fargo bank when they spotted a blue and red bag with the money inside.
The woman alleged to deputies that she noticed a female's identification card in the bag. According to the report, the ID belonged to a Dublin, Georgia resident.
The woman reportedly told deputies the man she'd been with took the bag and was "nowhere to be found" after that. He allegedly goes by the name "Corey" but his last name is unknown.
