Washington Co. man on the run after shooting, considered 'armed and dangerous'
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ga. -- One Sandersville man has been arrested and one is on the run after officers responded to a fight on Monday just after 5:30 p.m.
Police reportedly went to 700 Martin Luther King, Jr. Ave. about a shooting, secured the scene and started looking for witnesses, according to Captain Ken Parker with the Sandersville Police Department.
Investigators discovered that 26-year-old Duron Dantrel Robinson and 24-year-old Duan Victor Walker had been fighting and that Walker was shot in the arm after it escalated, police say.
Robinson reportedly fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle that's been described as a Ford Mustang or Chevrolet Camaro.
Officers have secured warrants on Robinson for aggravated assault, possessing a firearm while committing a crime and probation violation, according to police. He is considered armed and dangerous.
