Wellston Dog Park celebrates grand opening
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- The Warner Robins community came together on Thursday to celebrate the opening of Wellston Dog Park.
The on-acre park has agility equipment, doggie drinking fountains and separated areas for big and small dogs.
Debra Coleman recently moved to Warner Robins. She and her two Corgis are happy to have a new place to plat that's close by.
"It's really nice," Coleman said. "So far the closest one we've found that has agility equipment and is more than just a fenced in area is in Macon, which is a 30-minute ride, so it's not as much fun to drive 30 minutes, play for 30 minutes and drive back. This is just 10 minutes from our house so they can play on the agility equipment and Penny can lose some weight."
The park also included a one-mile paved walking trail and a three-acre gathering lawn.
