WILCOX COUNTY, Ga. -- The Wilcox County Elections Supervisor and two office employees have been indicted on multiple counts of making false statements.

A Wilcox County Grand Jury indicted April Graham, Wilcox County Elections Supervisor, and two office election employees, one identified as Micaela Hilliard Johnson, in August.

Graham is accused of lying on an unemployment application to the Georgia Department of Labor in October 2020 to get jobless benefits. She claimed to have quit her job over conflicts with a coworker and named a subordinate as her supervisor as well.

Graham faces one count of making false statements and one count of false representation to obtain unemployment benefits.

Johnson was also indicted on one count each of making false statements and one count of false representation to obtain unemployment benefits.

A Wilcox County Superior Court judge formally charged the three women, but later released a True Bill clearing one of them on two charges of making false statements.

WGXA requested more information regarding the case but has not received a response.
