Woman indicted on vehicular homicide charges in fatal Warner Robins wreck
MACON, GA. -- A woman was indicted on seven counts, including three vehicular homicide counts, for the July death of a Fort Valley woman.
Carol Ann Van Nostrand, 52, faces three counts of homicide by vehicle first degree, two counts of driving under the influence, one county of driving under the influence (less safe) and one count of following too closely.
At the time of the accident, Warner Robins at authorities said Van Nostrand rear-ended a 2013 Smart Car driven by Pamela Mobley Banks near the intersection of Watson Blvd. and North Briarcliff Rd.
Banks' car then rolled forward, jumped the curb, and struck a metal pole. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The indictment accuses Van Nostrand of driving a 2006 Acura RSX with under the combined influence of alcohol, diazepam and nordiazepam.
