Woman shot, killed in front of grandchildren at Milledgeville gas station
UPDATE: Baldwin County Sheriff Bill Massee identified the victim as 49-year-old Rita Henon.
The murder suspect, David Renfro, was taken into custody Tuesday evening around 6:30 p.m., according to Massee.
He said there is surveillance video of the shooting and witnesses also identified Renfro as the suspect. Massee said they executed search warrants for his home and found evidence leading to his arrest there as well.
Massee said Renfro hid behind the ice machine at the store and shot Henon in the head as she exited.
Massee described the incident as "almost like an assassination."
Authorities don't know what the motive is and can't find a connection between Henon and Renfro.
The grandchildren are with family and victim's assistance is helping them.
Renfro was transported to the Baldwin County Jail.

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. -- A woman was shot dead outside a Balwdin County convenience store on Tuesday.
According to Baldwin County Sheriff Bill Massee, the woman, identified as Rita Henon, 49, was exiting the the K&C Short Stop on Sparta Highway NE in Milledgeville and when a man shot and killed her just after 4 p.m.
Her two grandchildren witnessed the murder, according to Massee.
A search warrant is expected to be served within the next hour.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is processing the scene.
