Woman thrown from SUV during violent wreck on Houston County highway

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) - The driver of an SUV was ejected in a wreck in Houston County Wednesday night.

According to the Houston County Sheriff's Office, the wreck happened along Highway 247 in front of Robins Air Force Base. Investigators say the driver, a woman who has not been identified, somehow lost control of her Acura MDX. They say the SUV then flipped several times, over the railroad tracks, before coming to a rest in the woods. They say she was thrown out of the car during the wreck.

Investigators are still working to learn what caused the wreck.
