Local playwright brings original stage play to theatre
MACON,Ga --On Friday, local playwright and actor Winsphere Jones sat down with the WGXA Morning News team to share his upcoming one act play coming to the Ampersand Guild's black box theatre in Macon.
Jones' play, A Flutter in the Basement is a unique conversation piece which will lead you into the mind of a woman looking for answers to the past that has been hidden from her. As her doctor guides her, the reveal will leave you paralyzed.
The plot surrounds the story of a young woman, Mona Bishop, as she struggles to free herself from a past that has engulfed her for nearly her entire life. Not until she is admitted to a psychiatric hospital does she finally start to reach a place where she can eventually see through the pain and live her life again. This psychological drama will pull you in and a young girl’s truth will unfold right before your eyes.
The play opens on Friday. May 5th and runs through Saturday May 6th, Showtime is at 7:30pm
