The mother of a teen theft suspect called Columbus Police and gave officers the names of both teens that were caught on camera.
Police say the pair were caught on security camera at a home on South 17th Street in the Southern Orchards neighborhood. More than $6,000 worth of musical instruments, an iPad, Xbox, camera, and laptop were stolen during the break-in September 27th.
One of the teens was holding a small hand gun during the break-in, according to officers.
Police say charges are pending, and they're thankful the mom did the right thing.
