Suspect arrested in Hancock County Homicide
DEVEREUX, Ga -- The GBI has obtained an arrest warrant for a man currently in South Carolina in regards to the body found on Main Street in Hancock County.
Christopher Collin Demmon is charged with malice murder and is set to be transported from Aiken County, South Carolina back to Hancock County.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the Hancock County Sheriff's Office are currently conducting a homicide investigation after a body was found on a property on Main Street in Devereux.
The preliminary investigation shows that two individuals may have stayed at the residence on occasion. The GBI and local law enforcement are interviewing neighbors that may have knowledge of the incident and identifying who lives there.
The body is being sent to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy and identification.
