#7 Georgia makes major statement with shutout win over Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, TN -- Another week, another statement win for Kirby Smart.

In their first SEC East test of 2017, the seventh-ranked Bulldogs passed with flying colors rolling Tennessee 41-0 Saturday afternoon at Neyland Stadium.

Houston County alum QB Jake Fromm finished the day 7-15 with 84 yards with one touchdown and an interception while carrying the ball seven times for 20 yards and two scores on the ground.

Georgia controlled the line of scrimmage holding to 142 total yards while forcing four turnovers.

Nearly two years to the date of his gruesome knee injury, RB Nick Chubb paced Georgia with 16 carries for 109 of Georgia's 294 rushing yards.

Sophomore QB Jacob Eason saw his first game action since a week-one knee injury. Eason relieved Fromm in the fourth quarter leading the Bulldogs on two scoring drives.

Georgia (5-0, 2-0) travels to Vanderbilt next Saturday.
