JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A fast start by the Georgia offense and complete domination by the Bulldogs defense all game long led to an easy 42-7 win for the Dawgs over rival Florida.

Georgia jumped out to a quick 21-0 lead in the first quarter thanks to touchdowns from Nick Chubb, Javon Wims and a 74-yarder by Sony Michel.

The Bulldogs defense played like the third-ranked defense in the country, only allowing 249 total yards and seven points. The defense forced two turnovers while J.R. Reed returned a fumble three yards for a touchdown.

Freshman quarterback Jake Fromm only threw seven passes on the day and completed four for 101 yards and a touchdown while throwing one interception. The dynamic duo of Nick Chubb and Sony Michel combined for 214 yards and three touchdowns. Michel led the way with 137 yards and two of those scores.

Georgia had lost three straight games against Florida heading into today, and today the losing streak ended and the winning streak continues. Georgia is now 8-0 overall and 5-0 in conference play.
