Georgia College Baseball completes sweep of Flagler

Bobcats beat Saints 8-5 in both games/(Cam Gaskins WGXA)

The Georgia College Baseball team continued its strong play in the Peach Belt Conference on Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats won both ends of a double header to complete the 3 game sweep of Flager. GC is now 30-8 overall and 22-2 in the Peach Belt.

The Bobcats came from behind to take game one 8-5. GC was led by Logan Mattix and Mike Warren who each had 2 RBIs. Logan Howard (3-0) picked up the win going 5 shutout innings and giving up 6 hits.

The Bobcats also took game two by the same score 8-5. GC was led by Wesley Wommack who went 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs. Matt Studdard (4-1) picked up the win going 7 innings in relief while giving up 3 runs off of 8 hits.

Up next, Georgia College will head to Albany State on Tuesday. First pitch will be at 4:30.
