Georgia College Baseball season comes to an end

Bobcats end the season at 44-12./(Cam Gaskins, WGXA)

The historic 2018 baseball season for Georgia College came to an end on Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats fell to North Greenville 10-6 in the Southeast Regional of the NCAA Tournament. “I’m so proud of these guys, they make you proud to be a Bobcat,” said head coach Jason Eller. “They’ve got a Peach Belt Regular Season Championship, two PBC Tournament titles, and done it in the classroom as well with a 3.20-plus in both semesters. It’s going to be a tough ride home, but when we stop to reflect on it, these guys will realize what an awesome job they’ve done representing Georgia College.”

The Bobcats were led by Matthew Miller who went 2 for 5 with a RBI and 2 runs scored. Nate Schmal went 2 for 3 with a RBI, and Brandt Stallings also chipped in with a RBI. Charlie Hecht (11-2) took the loss for GC going an inning and a third giving up 3 runs off of 4 hits.

Georgia College ends the season at 44-12.
