Mercer Men's Soccer upsets #24 South Carolina

Jake Mezei made his first goal of the season count Tuesday night. The sophomore midfielder scored in the second overtime session as Mercer topped #24 South Carolina 3-2 on the road.

The Bears got out to a 2-0 start thanks to big goals from Kobe Perez and Will Bagrou. The Gamecocks fought back scoring two goals in the last 27 minutes of regulation.

After a scoreless first session of overtime, Mezei broke the tie giving the Bears the win.

Mercer improves to 2-0 on the season. The Bears will host Winthrop Friday night at home.
