Mercer Softball splits two in Rafter Memorial Tournament

The Mercer Softball team split a pair of games in the Rafter Memorial Tournament in Kennesaw, GA on Friday afternoon. The Bears are now 16-7 on the season.

Mercer took the first game from Fort Wayne 17-3. The Bears were led by Meghan Rud and Emma Andrew who each homered in the game. Megan Bilgri picked up the win going 4 innings and striking out 4.

The Bears fell to Belmont 5-1 in the second game. Mercer was led by Caroline Taylor who had the team's only RBI hit in the game. Brooklin Lee led Belmont by giving up just one run in seven innings and scattering 5 hits to pick up her 8th win of the season.

Up next, the Bears will face the same two on Saturday. They will see Belmont at 10 am, and Fort Wayne at 3 pm.
