Mercer Lady Bears basketball dominates at home

MACON, Ga. -- Mercer's Lady Bears basketball team pushed its winning streak to four games tonight as it took down visiting George Washington University by a final score of 61-44.

KeKe Calloway scored a game-high 15 points, and Sydni Mean contributed a double-double with 10 rebounds and 11 assists.

Mercer came out in the first quarter firing on all cylinders, opening the game with a 16-0 run and capping the quarter with a Kayla Potts buzzer-beating 3-pointer. The team shot a combined 41.67 percent from the field.

Southern Conference November Player of the Month Kahlia Lawrence had an unusually quiet night, with five points and six assists.

Mercer improves to 7-2 while George Washington falls to 3-6. The Lady Bear's next game will be Dec. 10 at UNC Asheville.
