Monster hitting effort lifts Georgia College past Flagler

FLORENCE, SC -- Scoring at least three runs in each of the first four innings, Jason Eller's Georgia College Bobcats opened the Peach Belt Conference Tournament in style with a 14-0 win over Flagler Wednesday morning at Francis Marion University.

PBC Player of the Year Brandon Benson went 4-5 while Logan Mattix and Wesley Wommack each recorded three hits and drove in three runs.

Brady Walsh earned the win on the hill for the Bobcats going six innings with five strikeouts surrendering only three hits.

Georgia College (32-13) returns to action Thursday at 1:30 p.m. against USC Aiken.
