West Virginia rallies late to top Georgia

WARNER ROBINS, GA -- Day 2 of the Southeast Softball Regional for the Little League World Series was not as kind this time around for Georgia.

Pioneer Little League out of Columbus couldn't hold an early lead falling to West Virginia 5-2 Friday afternoon in Warner Robins.

West Virginia broke open the game with three runs in the fifth inning. Mackenzie Lee paced Georgia with an RBI-triple and eight strikeouts in the circle.

Georgia takes on Virginia Saturday at 4 p.m.
