Jackson wins 3rd in a row over Central


The Jackson football team has hit a groove as the middle of the season has approached. They knocked off Central 36-19 for their 3rd straight win of the season. The Red Devils improve to 3-2, while the Chargers drop to 1-4.

The Red Devils got the game going with a kickoff return for a touchdown by Namiun Smith to start the game. A bad punt led to a Red Devil field goal to make it 10-0 in the first. Central's Donald Lamb would throw for a touchdown, then run for one to give the Chargers the 12-10 lead in the 2nd quarter. Jackson would take advantage of a Central turnover to make it 17-12 at the half. The Red Devils would out score the Chargers 17-9 in the 2nd half to pick up the win.

Up next, Jackson will have their bye week. While Central will take on Westside next Friday. Kickoff is slated for 7:30 pm.
