The Baldwin Braves got off to a great start, but couldn't hold on against Cartersville. The Braves fell to the Hurricanes 42-13 in the GHSA Class 2A Quarterfinals. The Braves year ends at 7-6.

Baldwin got off to a great start when they turned a stop of 4th and 4 in to a score when Derek Lewis hit Noah Hill for a 12 yard touchdown to make it 6-0. In the 2nd quarter, Zaahir Salahuddin would score on a 6 yard run to make it 13-0 early in the frame. But it was all Hurricanes from there, Marcus Gary had 3 rushing touchdowns, Tee Webb had a passing and rushing score, and Marquil Cozxum had a pick 6 as the Hurricanes scored 42 unanswered points.
