WARNER ROBINS, Ga. -- The Warne Robins Demons will have a chance to avenge their loss in last year's GHSA 5A state championship.

After beating Clarke Central 21-14 in tonight's quarterfinal round, the Demons are semifinal bound. They get to host the Rome Wolves next week -- the team they lost to in last year's state title game.

It wasn't the easiest win for the Demons, who started very slowly on offense. Clarke Central took a 7-0 lead into halftime, becoming the only team to shutout Warner Robins in the first half all season.

The Demons would respond quickly in the second half. A quick-strike touchdown from Dylan Fromm to Marcayll Jones put them on the scoreboard, and the Demons wouldn't look back from there.

They now prepare to host Rome -- who beat Dutchtown 28-14 in their respective quarterfinal -- in the semfinals next Friday. Kickoff for that game will be at 7:30 p.m. at McConnell-Talbert Stadium.
