Upson-Lee's Fagan asks for release from MTSU
MACON, Ga. -- Upson-Lee star guard Tye Fagan -- the Georgia Class 4A Player of the year -- asked for his release from Middle Tennessee State on Friday, per his twitter account.
This comes after former coach Kermit Davis accepted the same job at Ole Miss. Fagan had accepted the offer back in September.
Fagan led the Knights to back to back Class 4A titles and a 63 game win streak. He averaged 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists per game this year for Upson-Lee.
Other schools that were in the running before his commitment were Georgia, Mercer, College of Charleston, South Florida, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Wofford, East Carolina and Arkansas State.
