FORT VALLEY, Ga. -- The Upson-Lee Knights will have a chance to defend their state championship and push their winning streak to 63 games next Saturday in Atlanta when they face St. Pius X for the GHSA 4A state championship.

These teams squared off last year, and Upson-Lee took home the title in a thrilling game that came down to the wire.

The Knights beat Sandy Creek tonight in the Final Four, just edging the Patriots 52-51 to advance to the championship game.

Senior Tye Fagan led the Knights with 23 points, and surpassed the 2,000 point total for his career in tonight's win.

Upson-Lee and St. Pius will tip off at Georgia Tech's McCamish Pavilion on Saturday Mar. 10 at 4:00 p.m.
