Bleckley Co introduced its brand new trophy case on Sunday afternoon in the school's foyer. The collection has plenty of memorabilia from past teams of Bleckley Co, Cochran, and Eastman. The new case honors all the great athletes and coaches from the 1920s, all the way to the present time. Former coach Ben Dykes is the one who did the majority of the organizing. He says this new case was long overdue, and he way happy to participate. "I was born here in 1937. I didn't move here, I was born here, I've been here that long. People say why are you doing all of this trouble, because I've been here 81 years and it needed to be done and we got it done. This is my lovely wife that's been a big part of it and we're happy we're through with it today" said Dykes. There are plans for a new case on the other side of the hallway for later.
