Tattnall Square Baseball wins the Private A State Title

Trojans win their 2nd Baseball title in the GHSA./(A.J. Good WGXA)

It was a great night for the Tattnall Square Baseball team. The Trojans swept their series with Prince Avenue Christian (11-0, 5-2) to win the GHSA Private A State Championship. This is the Trojans 2nd title since joining the GHSA.

It was a pitching battle in game one untill the 5th and 6th innings. BJ Spears broke up the 0-0 tie with a RBI ground out. Then the Trojans went off in the top of the 6th scoring 10 runs. They shut the door in the bottom half of the inning to get the run rule win. Luke Laskey went the distance giving up no runs off of 4 hits and striking out 6.

In game two, the Trojans got on the board early with Austin Marchman Sac fly to make it 1-0. Tattnall Square would add 2 in the 2nd and the 3rd. Brooks Gorman went the distance giving up 2 runs off of 6 hits and striking out 3.
