Upson Lee tops Mary Persons in extras

It was a wild game in Forsyth on Monday night. Upson Lee and Mary Person battled from start to finish, even heading into extras where the Knights won 4-3 in the 11th. Upson Lee improves to 13-12, while Mary Persons drops to 17-11.

The scoring got started in the 4th inning where Upson Lee scored 2, and Mary Person added 1 to make it 2-1. In the bottom of the 6th, the Bulldogs tied the game off a J.D. Richards single. The Knights would respond in the top of the 7th, as Chance Gamble singled to make it 3-2. In the bottom half of the 7th, with the bases loaded, Aaron Mock's sac fly brought home Cam Agnew to tie the game at 3 and send it into extra innings. It was scoreless to the 11th where the Knights picked up a run and held on to win 4-3.

Up next, the Knights will host the Bulldogs on Wednesday at 6 pm.
