After his college days, Josh Koepplinger was waiting around for his next opportunity. And the Macon Mayhem came at the right time. "It was kind of a weird period going from college season where it didn't go our way. To doing nothing for a couple of weeks. Then I got the call to start my career again so it was kind of crazy" said Koepplinger.

He came out of the gate on fire. He has 5 goals in his first 5 games. Feeding off his teammates energy. "Obviously the credit goes to my teammates like I've said before. They've been key to the success that I've had. I was in the right place at the right time. Doing what I came down here to do."

His production is exactly what the Mayhem needed, and his head coach sees a bright future. "First couple of games he had a great weekend. Obviously he gelled with the line that he was with. Getting a few guys back he might be on a different line. We'll see how that goes but he's been good for us and I only see him getting better" said head coach Leo Thomas.

Koepplinger joined a team with a lot of veterans, and he says he wants to find a way to contribute. "We have the experience on this team to win. We got some guys coming back this week that are eager to contribute and make a playoff run. I'm just happy to be a part of it."

He has the same goal as the rest of the team to win another Presidents Cup, and he knows just how important the next few games are. "We know what's at stake. We just have to do our jobs and show up and the results will take care of themselves. We just have to work hard this weekend."
