MACON, GA -- The pieces to last season's President's Cup Championship are slowly coming back together for the Macon Mayhem.

Thursday the Blue Sweaters announced high-scoring win John Siemer will return to the team in 2017-18.

“We are very excited to get Siems back on board for next year," said Head Coach Kevin Kerr in the team's press release. "He is a great player who was a huge part of our championship run last year. He’s an offensive guy and one of the more skilled players in our league. He brings a lot of intangibles to our team, on and off the ice, and that is something we value very highly.”

In his rookie year with the Mayhem, Siemer finished second on the team with 45 points and 17 goals. The California-native finished the year with 11 power play goals and third in scoring among rookies.

The Mayhem open the season October 20 at home against Pensacola.
