Mayhem take Game 1 from Huntsville

The Macon Mayhem got the SPHL Semifinals started off the right way. The Mayhem defeated the Huntsville Havoc 6-4 in Game One of their series.

The Havoc got the scoring started when Kyle Sharkey scored early in the 1st to make it 1-0. 8 minutes later, Daniel Gentzler would tie the game up at 1 a piece heading to the 2nd.

In the 2nd period, Brandon Pfeil scored 2 minutes in to make it 2-1. That was followed by Dakota Klecha who scored on a power play just 2 minutes later to make it 3-1. Dylan Denomme made it 4-1 with just 3 minutes left.

In the 3rd period, with the Mayhem leading 4-3, they got goals from John Seimer and another from Gentzler as they cruised to the victory. Charlie Finn had 29 saves on the night.

Game two will be at the Macon Centreplex on Thursday night. The puck will drop at 7:35 pm.
