MACON, GA -- It's never too early to start talking about a repeat.

Less than a month after the Macon Mayhem delivered their first President's Cup Championship, the team released their projected player list for the 2017-18 season. Even though the players are on the projected list, doesn't mean they will officially return to the team with certain exceptions.

"Some guys could go to the ECHL, go to different leagues, but they can't go anywhere else in our league," said Erik Evenson, the voice of the Mayhem.

The big blow for the Mayhem is the farewell to Goaltender Jordan Ruby. The President's Cup MVP takes his game overseas next season.

"Obviously the big oversight is Jordan Ruby going off to France," Evenson said. "It's a pretty big loss but we're happy for him and his family."

Despite the loss of Ruby, there is a possible light at the end of the tunnel. The team announced the possible return of former league MVP Garrett Bartus.

The goaltender spent a brief portion of the 2016-17 season with the Blue Sweaters before spending the rest of the year between the ECHL and AHL.
