Braves offer free game tickets to Florida residents through the weekend
ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Braves are offering free game tickets to Florida evacuees this week.
For the next four nights, any Florida resident seeking shelter in Georgia has the opportunity to attend the Braves' series against the Miami Marlins.
Spectators can head to the Braves ticket office at SunTrust Park and show their valid Florida ID to receive the free ticket.
"We know how difficult it has been for those who have had to pack up and leave their homes as Hurricane Irma approaches," said Derek Schiller, Braves President of Business in a release. "We hope we can help take their mind off the storm for a few hours by coming to enjoy a baseball game at SunTrust Park."
The Braves begin their four-game home stand with the Marlins Thursday night at 7:35 p.m.
The first pitches are at 7:25 p.m. Friday, 7 p.m. Saturday and :35 p.m. Sunday.
