MACON, GA -- Georgia Doom CEO Kevin Adkins says the team will hold another round of tryouts Saturday at Windsor Academy from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Arriving this spring, the Doom will call the Macon Centreplex home beginning their existence in the American Arena League.

Adkins says Saturday's tryout is just a piece of the puzzle to completing the roster.

"We got a portion that is open tryouts, but we got a bigger portion to recruit," Adkins said. We scout each and everyday we have a director of scouting. Otis Covington out of Warner Robbins does a great job for us and Coach (Derek) Stingley is well known, so he gets a lot of contacts on a daily basis. So, open tryouts is apart of the valuation stage for us, but we scout heavily as well."

Registration for football and dance team tryouts begins at 8 a.m.

The team has already signed Houston County alum and former West Georgia kicker Hunter Heck earlier this off season.
