Kyle Lewis named to Futures Game

    A Former Mercer outfielder was put on a prestigious roster Friday afternoon. Kyle Lewis was named to MLB All-Star Futures Game. Lewis is hitting .262 with 5 home runs, 14 doubles, 18 runs scored, and 27 RBIs in 41 games for the Class A Modesto Nuts.

    Lewis played at Mercer from 2014-16. He is a 2 time Southern Conference player of the year. He also won the Golden Spikes award for the nation's top player in 2016. He was the 11th overall pick in the first round of the MLB Draft in 2016.

    The game will be on Sunday July 15 at 4 pm on the MLB Network. It will be played at Nationals Park in Washington D.C.
