An army brat, Ryan moved to Macon on his sixth birthday from Germany in the early 90s. His mom and uncle grew up in Middle Georgia, and he followed their footsteps in attending St. Joseph's Catholic School and Mount de Sales Academy.
After graduating high school, Ryan attended Georgia State University in Atlanta where he received a degree in English. He started in news as a production assistant in 2017 at WGXA before becoming a producer in 2020.
In his spare time, Ryan enjoys reading literature and watching sports. He also plays soccer in an adult league in Macon.
